LADY PRESIDENT's GAME
November the 14th - WLIBA President Mrs Gloria Watkins held her President's game on her home green Earlswood rinks played against Glorias selection of ladies from many surrounding clubs. Friendly banter could be heard throughout the game which was followed by a good meal after the game. Gloria accepted accolade from the WLIBA Secretary Mrs Hilary King MBE along with the gifts from many friends. The day finished with everyone enjoying a slice of a beautiful cake which was made by Earlswood lady member Mrs Anne Coombes.
CHRISTMAS FUN GAME 2009
The Christmas round robin game has always been a favourite with many of our members. It's also a game in which young and old are able to enjoy together. All members make an effort to "Dress up" and during the game enjoy the old favourite Chrismas tunes. Both winners and runners up (and children) recieve a prize and while we enjoy our repast of mince pies, Christmas cake and liquid refreshment! the Christmas draw takes place. Each year Earlswood members contribute prizes for our Christmas draw and this year it again generated the wonderful sum of £584. It is hoped this friendly game will continue as it has for many years in the past
NATIONAL WINNER FOR EARLSWOOD
Earlswood's Hanna Clarke wins Welsh Under 25's Singles Championship
After her Under 25's win, Hanna went forward with all other National winners, to represent her
country in the British Isles Championships. Having played along with her club mates
Hannah Lewis and Bethan Russ in the Under 25's International Series, she was also
selected to play in the Senior International Series in Scotland in March 2010. It has certainly
been a successful season for this Earlswood youngster. Congratulations and good luck for the future.
