The game of bowls was once thought of as an old man's game. Today more and more youngsters, boys and girls, are realising that the game can open up a whole new world for them. As in all sports it calls for commitment and hard work but the results can be so rewarding. Many Welsh bowlers have travelled the world playing in the Commonwealth Games and other World Tournaments, and hopefully will be included in future Olympic Games.
Earlswood junior practice games are held on most Sunday mornings between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon. The age of junior bowlers range from 8 years to 16years. Dress code for practice mornings is casual, bowls are provided for youngsters but bowling shoes are essential. Heel less plimsoles can be adapted to wear on the green.
Why not come along and have a go. We have qualified coaches to help you get started and before long we are sure you will be playing in the Under 16's team which competes in friendly games against junior teams from other indoor clubs. We have a restaurant where you and your friends can purchase meals and snacks, and where Mum or Dad can enjoy a cup of coffee while you play. We do hope you will come along, for today's youngsters will be our future bowlers.
